Ludwig Coenen, producer, journalist and DJ was born near Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 1979. In the late nineties electronic music was making its path into Ludwig's mind, as Techno and House was booming in and around Frankfurt. The Omen Club, the Wild Pitch Club party series, the Dorian Gray at Frankfurt's airport were the spots; labels like Playhouse, Perlon and Klang built up their roots at that time. Being influenced by this vivid environment was inevitable.

During this influential time, Ludwig was making his first tracks, using the legendary "Fast Tracker" audio-sequencer and shared them via several file-mailboxes. It didn't take much time until he started buying and spinning records.

He became resident at Radio X "X-Fade DJ-Night" - where he used to play once a month for several years. He started his studies in journalism, but he maintained an interest in electronic music and moved to the musical melting-pot par excellence - Berlin. In the 2003 he started working for the much respected electronic music magazine. Through his work as a music-journalist he built up new contacts and friendships with other musicians and collaborated with artists such as Todd Bodine and George Spruce.

In order to finish his studies the moved back to Frankfurt in 2004. There, he continued making tracks and developing his own sound, oscillating between minimal and non-minimal, between house and techno. He put out some netlabel-releases on Pentagonik and participated in several co-operations: Together with Todd Bodine he produced tracks for Tom Clark's Highgrade Records. He also created some remixes with George Spruce for his Label Senator Records. After finishing his studies, he started working as an online-journalist and created his own studio in Offenbach's most historically-charged area; right around the corner from the Robert Johnson Club and the Neuton office (the Playhouse headquarter used to be immediate neighbour). The studio is located in the same building where SNAP's "The Power" was recorded back in the day. Ludwig immersed himself in extremely fertile musical history, the result of which has earned him quick success in the vibrant electronic music scene of today.
