| 25.06.11!!! Save this date! It´s finally time for a new family meeting for the Knights of Highgrade with the new party series \"Group of Connected Heads\" attacking the Ritter Butzke!
One of the hottest spots in Berlin at the moment hosts our brave crew for the first time. One of the particular highlights will be the \"live-floor\", where - as the name suggests - solely live acts will perform: The Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra with their 3 hour live set, as well as Prompt and Die Galoppierende Zuversicht will ensure a permanent state of emergency.
But that\'s not all: more highlights are guaranteed with Guido Schneider, David K, Tom Clark, Todd Bodine, Jens Bond and MS Elbe running the decks on the main floor. If you\'re more outdoorsy, then join Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner, Philip Bader, Marcos In Dub, Britta Arnold and Andri in our outdoor area as they will ensure a groovy open-air feeling.

| 26th of June at Watergate
In its 10 year history, Berlin label Highgrade has always been willing to experiment, and now it heads in another new direction with the “Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra“. Friends and fans of electronic dance music will be presented with something different, and simplicity will be pushed aside for whatever the artists can imagine and create.
The “Hardware“ for a Live event like this is clear. What will be exciting in this show is the “Software“: Todd Bodine, Tom Clark, Markus Homm, Daniel Dreier and Dale aim to bundle their musical creativity and bring their audience closer to the Highgrade philosophy through the tracks they perform. In the foreground of Highgrade LIVE is the performance, pulsating rhythms will be the benchmark of quality.
This results will be presented on the 26th of June at Watergate. Very few locations could provide a better venue for the “Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra“. The club, with its unique view over the river Spree, has been one of the places most important to the Highgrade family of artists over the last few years.
You could expect nothing less from this Berlin label, which has already enriched the club scene and the spectrum of electronic music in the city for 10 years through it’s releases and events.
Both individuality and creativity take center stage in the work of the musical front line.
Highgrade has never worried about contraints of genre or convention. The “Highgrade Disharmonic Ochestra“ is a gift to the faithful entourage on the dance floor, and is also the perfect proof that the label is always up for a surprise.
Not only is the performance of the “Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra“ a premiere: the three hour live show will also be the live debut for Tom Clark, Daniel Dreier and Markus Homm. By their side are Todd Bodine and Dale, two “old hands“ who have proven themselves time and again in their own Live experience. | | |

When you get an opportunity to perform for an entire night at Berghain and Panorama Bar, you should make every effort to make it a very special event. A partnership, a collabotarive connection, something lasting with music that makes this more than simply another memory of an amazing night out, or morning on the dance floor.
This is the philosophy behind the "Highgrade meets" series of events. What started in October with guests from French label, Freak n'Chic, continues on the 19th of December 2009 with the crew of Berlin label Highgrade, and their compatriots from Wagon Repair. Happily tired faces are assured for the following Monday morning.
The label founded in 2004 by Canadians Mathew Jonson and Konrad Black, brings with it internationally celebrated artists Dinky, Cobblestone Jazz and Deadbeat, and is known around the world for it's stunningly unique sound. This forms the perfect challenge for Highgrade, a label in constant development and one aiming for lofty goals in the near future.
Highgrade has also managed to secure another partner for the event: Online electronic music site WhatPeoplePlay, whose October relaunch has really shaken up the download market for digital music. As a special Thank You, every guest at "Highgrade meets Wagon Repair" will receive an individually numbered card which allows them to download exclusive tracks from both labels, completely free of charge. Highgrade has managed to persuade key artists from Wagon Repair: Mathew Jonson, Dinky, The Mole and Mike Shannon to make their music available for this special project. Highgrade artists Tom Clark, Todd Bodine, Simon Beeston, Homm & Popoviciu, Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner, Demir & Seymen and Daniel Dreier will contribute brand new tracks for free download, to make this truly a night of music to remember.
"With the events at Berghain, we want to demonstrate that it is possible to make a difference together" says Highgrade's Todd Bodine. Projects with other labels can create not only interesting musical combinations and promote new artists, they can also form a synergy that is very important for independent record labels. "we believe that labels should collaborate much much more with each other". When the collaboration produces such a great line up of artists, the rewards are even more clearly visible. | | |
