Filipe Furão, also known as Jackspot was born in Lisbon in 1980. At eight years old his parents gave him an
electronic synthesizer for Christmas, a landmark event that was to be responsible for shaping Filipe's future. In his early years he showed a
rare ability and interest in eclectic electronic sounds and percussion. It comes as no surprise that by 16 years of age he had already
founded several new metal, rock and pop bands, always with an array of electronic elements in the mix. At 18 he hooked up with some talented
hip-hop producers and learned the art of sampling. Having edited several rap tunes he was invited to produce some of the artists who had
originally taught him the ropes.

Part of this logical progression in hip-hop led him towards a passion for downtempo, breakbeat and drum and
bass, steering Jackspot towards his favorite producers Dalata, A guy called Gerald and Photek.

|
Between 2000 and 2005 Jackspot preferred to take the low road, staying behind the scenes and giving gave himself time to
appreciate the trends of the electronic music world.

|
In 2006 he met Manuel Calapez while working on a project named CDR Night and quickly formed a new project duo named Internal
Sync where Jackspot applied his extensive knowledge of production and skills in the art of DJing.

|
At present Jackspot is continuing to work on improving is own style in terms of groove, production, performance and DJing.
The main objective is to create a Jackspot style, a personal musical identity, by combining organic, ethnic and human elements in a perfectly
mathematical way.

|
He has been extensively influenced over the years by the Highgrade artists and their musical philosophy. He hopes that he
will be able to develop and express his musical vision through his wide ranging sound palette and continue to contribute to the highest level
of electronic music.
